Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join our growing Life Sciences organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier management within the Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or Diagnostic industries. This role will be responsible for ensuring the timely procurement of direct and indirect materials while maintaining quality, regulatory, and cost objectives. Hands-on NetSuite ERP experience is required.

Days: Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Must have experience using NetSuite
• Manage procurement activities for direct and indirect materials, equipment, and services supporting Life Sciences manufacturing and operations.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to improve cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance.
• Create and manage purchase orders, supplier contracts, and procurement documentation within NetSuite ERP.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing, lead times, and service agreements.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Finance teams to support production and business objectives.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure uninterrupted supply of critical materials.
• Analyze spending trends and supplier performance metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support new product introductions and supplier qualification activities.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Resolve supplier quality, delivery, and material shortages while minimizing operational impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field.
• 5+ years of purchasing/buying experience within the Life Sciences, Medical Device, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, or related regulated manufacturing industry.
• Advanced NetSuite ERP experience required.
• Strong supplier negotiation and contract management experience.
• Experience supporting FDA-regulated or GMP manufacturing environments.
• Ability to analyze inventory, forecasts, and purchasing data.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

Preferred

• APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Experience sourcing international suppliers.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA, GMP, and quality system requirements.
• Experience supporting contract manufacturing or highly regulated production environments.
