Job Title- Senior Business Analyst
Location: Raleigh, NC(Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support business process analysis, requirements gathering, documentation, and implementation activities for a large-scale Data Modernization initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in business analysis, healthcare data/reporting systems, process modeling, requirements documentation, testing, and procurement support.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis, market research, and business process analysis.
  • Identify and document current-state and future-state business processes and workflows.
  • Gather, develop, document, and validate business, functional, technical, solution, transition, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Create user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, test scripts, and other Agile deliverables.
  • Develop contextual diagrams, functional decomposition diagrams, process workflows, business process models, wireframes, entity relationship diagrams, data dictionaries, and system context diagrams.
  • Perform gap analysis and document findings, recommendations, and impacts.
  • Develop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs).
  • Support functional, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including development of test scenarios and test cases.
  • Work closely with project managers, developers, technical teams, and business users to ensure solutions align with business requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, meeting minutes, user documentation, and other project artifacts.
  • Support procurement activities by developing requirements and contributing to RFP documentation and evaluation criteria.
  • Assist with application design discussions, interface requirements, customization strategies, and solution alternatives.
  • Support system implementation and go-live activities.
  • Follow established PMO, Project Management, and Business Analysis methodologies.
  • Participate in project and PMO meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
 
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience with business systems analysis techniques and testing methodologies.
  • 7+ years of experience gathering business requirements, developing business rules, and creating process flows.
  • 7+ years of experience in business process design, definition, and/or redesign.
  • 7+ years of experience with Business Analysis methodologies and problem-solving.
  • 7+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Microsoft Project.
  • 5+ years of experience creating context diagrams and functional decomposition.
  • 5+ years of experience developing procurement-related documentation, including RFPs and evaluation criteria.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong creative thinking, problem-solving, leadership, and team-building abilities.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC concepts and processes.
  • Ability to manage complex assignments involving multiple workstreams and competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively with business users, technical teams, project managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound business judgment.
  • Healthcare data reporting systems experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with State Government organizations.
  • 3+ years of healthcare-related experience.
  • Experience supporting large-scale data modernization or data transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices and principles.
  • Experience with SharePoint, including sites, libraries, lists, groups, and end-user functionality.
  • Familiarity with PMI/PMBOK principles and standards.
  • Experience working in cross-divisional or enterprise-level environments.
