Description

Our Client, an IT Services and Consultant company, is looking for a Senior Business Analyst – Oracle EPM EDMCS for their Charlotte, NC/ Hybrid location.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Lead discovery workshops with finance, accounting, and operations stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
  • Translate complex business needs into scalable Oracle EPM EDMCS solution designs that enhance data governance, reporting consistency, and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze existing EPM processes, hierarchies, metadata structures, and governance models to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Design and maintain EDMCS dimensions, hierarchies, properties, viewpoints, and workflow processes aligned with enterprise reporting requirements.
  • Create detailed functional specifications, business requirements documents (BRDs), process flows, and solution design documentation.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to validate solution feasibility and ensure optimal system performance, maintainability, and user experience.
  • Facilitate design reviews and stakeholder walkthroughs to gain alignment on proposed solutions and business processes.
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, scenario creation, execution support, defect tracking, and resolution.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data governance processes, validation rules, workflow configurations, and operating procedures.
  • Partner with reporting, analytics, and data management teams to ensure consistent master data structures across enterprise platforms.
  • Support incident, change, and release management activities by performing business impact assessments and prioritizing enhancement requests.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing system usage, user feedback, and emerging business requirements.
  • Assist with organizational change management efforts, including stakeholder communication, training, and adoption activities.
  • Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices in requirements gathering, documentation, and Oracle EPM EDMCS solution delivery.
  • Evaluate new Oracle EPM capabilities and industry best practices to recommend improvements that support strategic business objectives.
 
Requirements:
  • 8–12 years of experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise-level environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle EPM EDMCS, including:
  • Metadata management
  • Dimension and hierarchy management
  • Property management
  • Viewpoints and subscriptions
  • Workflow-driven data governance
  • Solid understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and management reporting processes.
  • Proven experience conducting business process analysis, requirements elicitation, gap analysis, and solution design.
  • Experience creating functional specifications, process documentation, test plans, and user training materials.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and master data management practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with finance, accounting, business, and technology teams.
  • Experience supporting hybrid teams and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience with other Oracle EPM products such as FCCS, Planning, EPBCS, ARCS, or Narrative Reporting.
  • Knowledge of financial close and consolidation processes.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data governance and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Experience working in large global organizations.
