    We are looking for a technically skilled, design-driven Senior Architect to join their Commercial team in Austin, TX. This is a great opportunity for someone ready to take ownership of complex projects and contribute meaningfully to a studio that values both craft and community.

    What You'll Do

    • Lead and coordinate all project efforts through every phase of design and development to ensure efficient, cost‑effective execution for complex projects.

    • Present technical and design solutions directly to clients and represent the firm with professionalism and confidence.

    • Guide and oversee Schematic Design, design development, and construction documentation, ensuring alignment with project requirements.

    • Monitor budgets, schedules, and project documentation to keep projects on track and well organized.

    • Supervise and support the team’s design and technical delivery, providing clear direction and quality oversight.

    • Develop and advocate for the lead technical approach on projects, coordinating with project managers, architects, and consultants on appropriate solutions and product strategies.

    • Deliver complete, accurate, and well‑coordinated project documents that meet quality standards with minimal comments during review.

    • Mentor architectural staff, fostering technical growth, design rigor, and collaborative teamwork.

    What You'll Bring

    • Significant experience developing details and providing technical and design support for commercial projects through Design Development and beyond.

    • Strong knowledge of building codes and a clear understanding of how code constraints impact design decisions.

    • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

    • A self‑motivated, proactive work style and the ability to build positive working relationships with internal teams, outside consultants, and clients.

    • Proven ability to lead and positively direct architectural staff.

    • Strong proficiency with SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Revit/BIM.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.

    Qualifications

    • Licensed and registered Architect in the state of Texas.

    • 8+ years of professional architectural experience.

    • Deep familiarity with IBC and Texas amendments, Type V construction, accessibility requirements, and occupancies A, B, and M.

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an NAAB‑accredited program.

    • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional growth.

    • Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without restrictions (visa sponsorship is not available for this position).
