Senior Acquisition Analyst

Maven Group is seeking a Senior Acquisition Analyst to build the contract and license picture beneath a federal client's IT modernization. You will produce the contract inventories, expiration analyses, vehicle assessments, and license baselines that show what is committed, until when, and under what instrument. Your findings show which services can consolidate together, which must move separately, and which renewal dates shape the sequence.

The ideal candidate brings federal contract analysis and enterprise software licensing experience, and has assembled a contract baseline across multiple independent organizations. You are meticulous with sources and comfortable presenting a conflict clearly when records do not agree.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce contract inventories, expiration analyses, vehicle assessments, and license baselines for consolidation candidates and the services within them.
• Separate licensing, implementation, operations, and support components so the client can see what may consolidate together and what must move separately.
• Populate the contract, license, and vendor fields of the enterprise service inventory, including lifecycle dates.
• Reconcile contract information across component records and vendor documentation, or document conflicts transparently.
• Maintain acquisition source traceability records.
• Prepare acquisition current-state analysis and supply contract-timing inputs to migration planning, working hand in hand with the IT Acquisition Strategy Lead.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Contract or license inventory analysis, including assessing contract vehicles and expiration timelines.
• Reconciling procurement records from multiple sources.
• Experience with enterprise software licensing.
• Must be able to successfully complete a federal background investigation and obtain and maintain the government credentials required for on-site client access.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise license baselines and true-up analysis.
• Familiarity with federal contract data sources.
• Experience supporting HHS or its operating divisions (such as CMS, CDC, FDA, or NIH) or other federal health and research agencies.
• Active federal credentials or a current Public Trust determination; candidates able to start quickly are strongly encouraged to apply.

Work Location and Schedule

Hybrid. This role supports a federal client in the Washington, DC metropolitan area (Maryland), with on-site work two to three days per week and local travel among client sites as needed.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is 105,000–130,000. This range represents Maven Group's good faith estimate at the time of posting and is not a guarantee of compensation.

Final compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, internal equity, market conditions, and geographic location. For positions supporting federal contracts, compensation may also be subject to applicable labor category requirements, contract terms, funding, and other contract-specific provisions. As a result, actual compensation may vary from the posted salary range.
