Senior Accountant - Job Summary
We are currently looking for Senior Accountant for a contract role (4-5 months). In this role, you would ensure accurate revenue recognition and financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP. This role oversees complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and supports the month-end close process, while reviewing work from junior staff and partnering cross-functionally with Finance, FP&A, Sales, and external auditors.
Key Responsibilities
Support and help manage the month-end close, including journal entries and audit-ready documentation
Review account reconciliations, financial results, and variance analyses
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, including revenue recognition and expense classification
Prepare audit schedules and act as a liaison with external auditors
Assist with financial statements, budget, and forecasting activities
Improve processes, maintain reconciliation standards, and drive efficiencies
Lead and mentor junior accounting staff
Collaborate cross-functionally and support ad hoc projects
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of relevant accounting experience (public or corporate)
CPA preferred or in progress
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and intermediate Excel skills
Detail-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills
Pay
$50-$70 HR
