Oxford Solutions is working with a healthcare organization seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a remote contract-to-hire opportunity. This role will support financial reporting, accounting operations, reconciliations, and analysis in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates may work remotely anywhere in the U.S.; Central Time Zone availability is highly preferred. This position requires someone who has demonstrated success working remotely and can maintain a dedicated professional workspace.
Responsibilities
- Perform general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules
- Investigate account variances and resolve discrepancies
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Develop and maintain Excel-based reports and financial models
- Assist with audit requests and ensure accurate financial documentation
- Collaborate with accounting, finance, and business teams in a remote environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA required
- 7+ years of accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong financial analysis and reporting skills
- Previous experience successfully working in a fully remote environment
- Dedicated home office/workspace with reliable internet and the ability to participate in video meetings
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
- Experience with advanced Excel functions and financial modeling preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently
