Senior Accountant – Industrial Construction / Project Accounting

La Porte, TX | 100% On-Site | Full-Time

Axis Industries is hiring an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. Reporting to the Controller, this hands-on role will focus on POC/WIP accounting, ASC 606 revenue recognition, job costing, month-end close, reconciliations, cash management, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain POC schedules and WIP reports
• Monitor project costs, billings, margins, and estimated costs to complete
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and support month-end close
• Prepare journal entries, schedules, and management reporting
• Support cash management, sales/use tax, and annual audits
• Partner with Project Management and Operations to resolve project variances
• Support accounting process and internal control improvements

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Hands-on POC/WIP and job cost accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and GAAP
• Experience in construction, industrial services, engineering, or another project-based industry
• Advanced Excel and ERP/accounting system experience
• CPA/CPA-eligible and public accounting experience are a plus
