    Our client is a leading global provider of engineered and manufactured products and solutions serving the oil and gas, energy, and industrial markets.


    The organization is currently implementing a new, full-cycle ERP system to support its manufacturing operations. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join the Accounting team during this important transformation. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the accounting-related aspects of ERP testing while also managing day-to-day accounting responsibilities. This position will help ensure the team can effectively balance implementation requirements with ongoing financial reporting and close activities.

    What You'll Be Doing as a Senior Accountant:



    • Participate in the monthly general ledger close process by preparing journal entries for assigned transaction cycles.

    • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations for selected accounts.

    • Investigate and resolve reconciling items and ensure account balances are accurate.

    • Participate in accounting-related testing for the company's new ERP system.

    • Develop and execute test scenarios to validate accounting processes and system functionality.

    • Document testing results and identify, communicate, and help resolve system issues.

    • Assist with validating that the new ERP system accurately supports accounting processes, financial reporting, and internal controls.

    • Monitor selected transactions for compliance with relevant internal controls and accounting policies.

    • Proactively analyze financial variances and communicate issues, trends, and opportunities to management.

    • Support the transition from Aptean Intuitive to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

    • Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and other cross-functional teams throughout the ERP implementation.

    • Take ownership of selected day-to-day accounting activities to help the broader Accounting team focus on system design and implementation priorities.

    • Ensure financial results are reported accurately and timely.

    • Assist with process improvements and other accounting and ERP-related projects as assigned.


    Preferred Qualifications of the Senior Accountant:



    • 6+ years of finance or accounting experience, preferably within the Oil & Gas and/or Manufacturing industries.

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

    • Experience with both manufacturing accounting and general ledger accounting.

    • ERP system experience, preferably with Aptean Intuitive and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

    • Previous experience supporting an ERP implementation, system testing, or process improvement initiatives is a plus.

    • Strong Microsoft Excel and financial systems experience.

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    • Proactive approach to identifying issues, opportunities, and process improvements.

    • Commitment to customer service and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

    • CPA, CA, local equivalent certification, or a Master's degree in Finance or Accounting is a plus.
