Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant in Fort Lauderdale, you will manage core accounting work for a retail company and provide accurate financial information for the Accounting & Finance department. You will use sound judgment and attention to detail to keep financial records clear and reliable.

Description

• Maintain accurate general ledger records and support timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Record journal entries and maintain supporting documentation for accounting activity.
• Review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and consistent recordkeeping.
• Help prepare monthly financial statements and related reporting schedules.
• Investigate variances and work with internal teams to clarify financial activity.
• Maintain organized accounting files and documentation for the Accounting & Finance department.

Profile

A successful Senior Accountant should have:

• Experience with general ledger accounting and journal entries.
• Experience preparing account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
• Experience supporting monthly financial reporting and financial statements.
• Ability to review financial data with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to organize accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Experience working within an Accounting & Finance department.
