    Position Overview

    Our client, a respected and growing multi-family office, is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join its team in Baltimore. This individual will work closely with high-net-worth families and related entities, supporting day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and tax and estate planning initiatives. The role offers broad exposure to complex financial structures and the opportunity to serve as a trusted resource to clients and internal stakeholders.

    Senior Accountant Key Responsibilities

    • Develop a thorough understanding of client financial structures, including trusts, partnerships, LLCs, and other related entities.
    • Oversee cash flow activity, payroll processing, tax payments, and insurance-related matters.
    • Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation within established filing systems.
    • Manage accounts payable processes and track investment-related activity.
    • Assist with special accounting projects and client-specific financial initiatives.
    • Prepare and maintain personal and entity financial statements using QuickBooks.
    • Perform consolidations across multiple entities and ownership structures.
    • Create customized reports, cash flow analyses, forecasts, and other ad hoc financial reporting as requested.
    • Gather, organize, and maintain documentation for tax preparation and compliance purposes.
    • Ensure executed trust, estate, and financial documents are properly maintained and securely stored.
    • Support tax planning and wealth management initiatives alongside internal and external advisors.
    • Assist with various internal accounting, finance, HR, and operational projects as needed.
    • Contribute to process improvements and support a collaborative, client-focused culture.
    • Participate in special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

    Senior Accountant Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
    • 2+ years of accounting or finance experience.
    • Experience working with multiple entities, investment accounts, or high-net-worth clients is a plus.
    • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
    • Self-starter who can work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
