Senior Accountant

Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support a portfolio of client accounts and oversee the full accounting cycle from daily bookkeeping through month-end close. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, managing reporting deadlines, and providing accounting support across multiple locations. The ideal candidate has strong bookkeeping and accounting experience, is highly organized, and can work independently while managing multiple priorities. Key Responsibilities:

• Senior Accountant will manage the full-cycle bookkeeping and month-end close process for an assigned portfolio of locations
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end reporting packages
• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure financial accuracy
• Support accounts receivable activities and account maintenance
• Review, reconcile, and analyze financial transactions and account balances
• Manage varying client deadlines and ensure timely completion of monthly deliverables
• Work within accounting and point-of-sale systems to gather, analyze, and validate financial data
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and reporting issues
• As Senior Accountant, you will prepare financial reports and supporting schedules
• Assist with cleanup projects, catch-up work, and ongoing accounting activities
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting efficiency

Requirements:

• 3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related accounting experience
• Experience managing the full accounting cycle, including month-end close
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to manage multiple clients, locations, or business units simultaneously
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Ability to work business hours aligned with Eastern or Central Time zones

Preferred Qualifications:

• Accounting degree or related education
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred
• Experience working with point-of-sale systems
• Experience supporting multiple locations, entities, or client portfolios
• Experience in fitness, hospitality, retail, wellness, or other multi-location business environments
