Support process improvements and system enhancements related to cash/banking workflows (e.g., Restaurant365, POS integrations).Serve as a resource for restaurant-level managers on cash-handling questions and best practices. We're looking for a Senior Accountant, Banking & Cash Operations to own this critical function across our restaurant locations! This is a senior-level, high-autonomy role. In this role, you'll make sure cash activity is accurately recorded, reconciled, and reported, and you'll be the go-to person for all things banking - from account administration to reconciliations to cash positioning.What You'll DoCash & Banking OperationsMonitor daily cash positions across all company bank accounts and entities.Reconcile 25+ bank accounts on a daily/period basis across multiple locations and entities.Reconcile daily POS sales, credit card settlements, and third-party delivery deposits against bank activity; investigate and resolve discrepancies.Support day-to-day banking relationships - online banking administration, new account setup for new restaurant openings, and user access/permissions.Monitor petty cash and store-level cash handling compliance across locations escalating issues as needed.Financial Reporting & ClosePrepare and post journal entries related to cash and banking transactions.Support month-end close for all cash and bank-related general ledger accounts.Assist with cash flow forecasting and reporting to support leadership decision-making.Provide cash-related documentation and support for internal and external audits.Compliance & ProcessHelp maintain internal controls over cash handling, deposits, and banking access.Identify and escalate cash-related risks or irregularities to the Controller.Monitor for stale or uncashed checks during bank reconciliation and flag them.Support process improvements and system enhancements related to cash/banking workflows (e.g., Restaurant365, POS integrations).Serve as a resource for restaurant-level managers on cash-handling questions and best practices.What We're Looking ForEducation: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.Experience: 5–7+ years of accounting experience, with a high volume multi entity bank accounts focus.Industry Background: Restaurant or multi-unit hospitality experience strongly preferred.Technical Skills: Experience with Restaurant365, POS systems (Toast, Square, etc.), and online banking platforms.Attention to Detail: Strong reconciliation and attention-to-detail skills; comfortable managing high transaction volume across many bank accounts.Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. CompensationSalary: $85,000/year Benefits & PerksHealth & FinancialCompany-subsidized Medical insuranceDental, and Vision insurance401(k)Company-paid Life and Long-Term Disability insurance (with options to increase)Voluntary Benefits (Accident, Hospital Indemnity, Critical Illness)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Time OffPaid VacationPaid Sick TimeRestaurant Group PerksDining discounts across Catalogue locations Reporting & LocationWho you will report to: Corporate ControllerPreferred Location: Washington DC
