    We are seeking a Senior Accountant for full cycle accounting, including preparation of monthly financial statements, maintaining accounting policies and controls for assigned AMIkids affiliates, and providing financial support to affiliates'' administrative Team Members.

    What you will be doing:

    • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures to include financial support affiliates with complexity varying from moderate to high,
    • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare monthly financial statements and to support the external audit; includes year-to-year flux and budget variance explanations utilizing knowledge of accounting principles, expense and revenue recognition, accounting for contributions, fixed asset determination, and knowledge of lease accounting, monitor accounting processes and procedures
    • Recommend and participate in process improvements. Maintain and keep current training documents, supporting schedules templates, and Finance Manual,
    • Prepare cash flow/forecast and assist affiliates in monitoring cash and overall financial performance,
    • Oversee and monitor affiliate spending and ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies and communicate any violation to management and supervisory personnel,
    • Train and develop accounting Team Members as well as affiliate administrative Team Members,
    • Communicate and assist affiliate Board members with financial matters,
    • Maintain and update supporting schedules to the financial statements, includes supporting schedules for reconciliation of general ledger accounts.

    Role requirements:

    • Bachelor''s degree in accounting or related field,
    • Minimum 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience,
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles,
    • Proficiency with accounting software, network system, and Microsoft Windows work groups, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.),
