We are seeking a Senior 3rd Line / Software Maintenance Engineer to join our global Cloud Hosting team, working on Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Platforms and Interfaces that enable streamlined application and service development. In this dev+ops-style organization practicing "you build it, you run it," you will collaborate closely with customers to ensure fast turnaround of feature requests and bug fixes, while reducing engineering effort across the provisioning, deployment, configuration, update and repair lifecycle of applications, games and services running on our cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Own EKS cluster management and related automations as part of our global Cloud Hosting team
Solve problems at every layer of the technology stack
Develop high quality, stable code for use in automation and internal customer facing APIs
Participate in the Support and On-call rota, providing support to customers on services Cloud Engineering offers (one week per 2-3 months, additional bonus applies)
Write and publish High Level Designs and developer documentation
Take part in bottom up planning around release schedules, workload and priorities
Design for privacy, security, compliance, high availability, performance and resilience across all web services and infrastructure capabilities
Perform analysis of requirements, investigate possible solutions and select and implement the best approach
Complete short and straightforward test tasks in GoLang before client interview
Requirements
5+ years of experience in platform devops with infrastructure experience on AWS or GCP
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS), ideally including Vault, Kyverno and policy management
Proven scripting skills in Python, Ruby or Bash, with an Infrastructure as Code approach
Proficiency in Terraform, Docker and Ansible
Familiarity with AWS cloud, networking and MongoDB
Basic knowledge of the Go language, with flexibility to learn GoLang quickly
Strong communication skills and client centricity
Ability to participate in the On-Call support rota (one week per 2-3 months, compensated additionally as a bonus)
English proficiency at B2 level or higher
