An Excellent Opportunity for “Scrum Master” to work with one of the Largest Global Bank in New York, NY

 

Pay Range: $70/hr – $75/hr

 

Job Description:

This position is responsible for performing the duties of a Scrum Master, which involves planning and coordinating the execution of large program deliverables that require engagement across multiple organizations. The role includes ensuring that delivery meets the client's expectations in terms of target outcomes, timeline, and cost, as well as facilitating synchronization points between business and technology leaders.

 

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily standups (or the daily scrum) as needed.
  • Conduct iteration/sprint planning meetings to protect the team from over-committing and scope creep and assist in estimation and sub-task creation.
  • Participate in sprint reviews and capture feedback.
  • Conduct retrospectives to note areas for improvement and action items for future sprints.
  • Administer the scrum board, ensuring that cards are up to date and scrum tools like Jira are functioning well.
  • Meet individually with team members and stakeholders as needed to resolve disagreements about process and work styles.
  • Consult with team members and internal stakeholders on how best to work with the scrum team.
  • Perform regular analysis of burndown charts and other portfolio planning tools to understand what gets built and at what cadence.
  • Aid the team by eliminating external blockers and managing internal roadblocks through process or workflow improvements.
  • Address any issues that prevent the scrum team from functioning optimally, which may include fixing broken computers, moving desks, or adjusting the thermostat.

  • Leadership qualities that encourage team self-organization without being authoritative.
  • Effective communication skills for clear and transparent interactions
