Description

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Scientist Ifor a prominent client of ours. This position is located in San Diego, CA, 92130.Details of the position are as follows:

Job Description:

Pay: $42.00- 47.59/hr to start.
7.5-month contract to start with the possibility of extension or conversion based on budget and performance.
Position will mainly be responsible for non-viral engineering of primary human T cells using mRNA and transposon-based DNA delivery through electroporation or nucleofection platforms, monitoring cell viability, recovery, and receptor expression.
Responsibilities also include maintaining and expanding primary human T cells and Jurkat cell lines, performing high-throughput screening and multi-color flow cytometry, and analyzing data using FlowJo.
Position will also be responsible for functional T-cell assays including cytotoxicity, cytokine profiling, proliferation testing, and documenting experimental procedures, protocol deviations, and raw data in an ELN.

Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree is required.
2+ years professional experience is required.
Experience with T- Cell isolation from PBMC’s is required.
Strong aseptic technique is required.
Experience delivering genetic material such as mRNA or DNA systems into a new primary human T- Cells is required.
Experience with T- CELL activation, including cytotoxicity assays (using IncuCyte live-cell imaging or LDH release) and cytokine profiling via ELISA, MSD, or Luminex is required.
Experience tracking T-Cell proliferation using dyes like CFSE is required.
