The Day Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of assigned school facilities throughout the business day. This position requires consistent attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to respond to cleaning and maintenance needs as they arise.

The Day Porter works to ensure that facilities remain clean, safe, presentable, and operational for employees, visitors, clients, and building occupants.

Staff must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, attention to detail, and an understanding of the importance of working in an active school environment.

As a Day Porter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our clients' facilities. This is an immediate opportunity to be part of a loving and enthusiastic team that values integrity, character, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning building floors (vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, sweeping)
• Gathering and emptying indoor trash
• Clean, service and resupply restrooms
• Clean windows, mirrors and other glass surfaces
• Engaging in building security and safety activities (checking and locking doors, checking electrical appliance)
• Moving equipment, supplies, and furniture
• Informing managers about required repair and maintenance activities
• Maintaining tools and equipment needed for Custodial duties

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day.

The contractor is expected to provide services according to the agreed-upon service schedule and assigned facility requirements.

Requirements:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must successfully complete and pass all required background screenings in accordance with applicable laws and school district requirements.
• Ability to work independently and follow established cleaning procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform physical cleaning duties throughout the scheduled service period.
• Must comply with all applicable school facility access, security, and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

• No formal education required
• Ability to work Monday to Friday on-site
• Must have proven working experience as Janitor or related work
• Must be trainable and open to learn and act in accordance with the Del Sol "Way"
• Must be able to respond and act quickly
• Must have strong multitasking skills
• Must have reliable transportation
• Bonus: A working knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies
