    Description

    As a SCADhome team member in Atlanta, you will enhance students’ university experience by promoting a residential environment that supports their educational, artistic, and personal development. At the university’s hub for residence life and housing, you will play a pivotal role with continuing student housing registration, implementing housing policies, and reminding them of important dates.

    As a concierge specialist, you will:

    • Read, respond, and route incoming emails to the SCADhome help desk; compose and type routine correspondence; organize and maintain a file system for correspondence and other records
    • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data and make deductions from varying facts and circumstances to enhance the SCAD experience
    • Connect students to any SCAD department or resource; assist with referrals to departments and resources; provide contact information and help students schedule appointments
    • Answer and screen telephone calls; assist with answering student questions about navigating SCADhome
    • Proactively reach out to students about upcoming events and activities; provide reminders for important dates and make suggestions for success.

    • Discipline, honesty and integrity
    • An ability to handle multiple priorities

    Minimum qualifications:     
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • At least one year of related experience
    • Customer service experience
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Banner, or a similar database
    • Able to work occasional evenings and weekends

    Preferred qualifications:     
    • Successful work experience in an academic environment

    Travel required:
    • Less than 10%

    Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
