The Staff Pad has partnered with a rapidly growing roofing and exterior restoration company to identify an experienced Sales Manager to lead, develop, and support a team of sales professionals for its Des Moines, IA location.
This role is ideal for a proven roofing sales leader who thrives on coaching others, building winning teams, and driving consistent results.
The Sales Manager will play a critical role in recruiting, training, mentoring, and supporting sales representatives while ensuring exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process.
What You'll Do
Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new Roofing Consultants and sales team members
Provide hands-on field training, ride-alongs, and ongoing coaching to help team members develop confidence and sales proficiency
Lead and motivate a team of sales professionals while fostering a positive, accountable, and high-performance culture
Conduct regular team meetings, one-on-one coaching sessions, performance reviews, and sales trainings
Monitor sales activity, pipeline performance, and individual production to ensure team goals are achieved
Support representatives during inspections, customer meetings, and complex sales situations when needed
Serve as a resource for resolving customer concerns and removing obstacles that may impact the customer experience
Collaborate with operations, production, and administrative teams to ensure projects move smoothly from contract through completion
Establish and reinforce consistent sales processes, best practices, and performance expectations
Recognize team achievements and create an environment centered around growth, development, and success
Assist with territory growth initiatives and help identify opportunities to increase market presence
Act as a key communication bridge between leadership and the sales team, ensuring alignment and accountability
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
2-3 years of roofing industry sales experience or 1-3 years of sales management experience
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
Experience leading, mentoring, or coaching sales professionals
Strong understanding of residential roofing sales, inspections, insurance restoration, or related home service sales environments
Ability to develop new sales representatives through structured coaching and field training
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and customer-service mindset
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned market
