Job Title: Sales Manager
Location: Chesapeake, VA
Details: W2, Full-Time, On-site, up to 50% Travel
Vanguard Cleaning Systems is looking for a motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to drive new business development and deliver revenue growth. In this role, you’ll act as both a high-performing individual contributor and a team leader, overseeing our account management and business development teams. You’ll be responsible for generating and qualifying leads, managing a robust pipeline in our CRM, and closing deals with key decision-makers—while playing a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our expanding regional office.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: Up to $80,000 (commensurate with experience)

Leadership Responsibilities (30%)
Lead and coach the Account Management and Business Development teams to achieve and exceed performance targets for the region.
Set clear metrics, provide ongoing feedback, and support professional development across the team.
Monitor performance using CRM data (Salesforce preferred), adjusting strategy to improve results.
Lead weekly sales meetings to track progress, share insights, and align on strategy.
Sales Responsibilities (70%)
- Prospect and generate new business leads through cold calling, referrals, networking, and local outreach.
- Identify and qualify potential clients that align with our ideal customer profile.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline; manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract close.
- Set and conduct strategic meetings with key decision-makers, including C-level executives, both in-person and virtually.
- Cultivate lasting client relationships and coordinate seamless account onboarding.
- Represent the Vanguard brand with professionalism and integrity at all times.
- Travel throughout the region to meet prospects and build market presence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of leadership experience.
- 5+ years of successful B2B outside sales experience.
- Proven ability to prospect and close deals independently.
- Strong communication skills with confidence speaking to all stakeholders including C-level executives.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and accountable for performance metrics.
- Proficient in using CRM systems for lead tracking and sales reporting.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM.
- Experience selling to facility managers, property management, or commercial service buyers.
- Comfortable with cold calling and appointment setting.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow within a leadership track.
