Sales Engineer
We are seeking a technically strong, customer-focused Sales Engineer to support the sale of highly technical products and solutions. This role combines an engineering or scientific background with the ability to understand customer applications, identify technical needs, and communicate complex solutions clearly.
Responsibilities
Develop a strong understanding of the company’s products, technologies, and applications.
Work directly with customers to understand technical requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
Provide technical support throughout the sales process, from initial discussions through product selection and implementation.
Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions to engineers and other decision-makers.
Partner with sales, engineering, and product teams to address customer requirements.
Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and product recommendations.
Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
Identify new applications and business opportunities within assigned accounts or territory.
Represent the company at customer meetings, conferences, and industry events.
Communicate customer feedback and market needs to internal engineering and product teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required in one of the following disciplines:
Physics
Materials Science / Materials Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand complex products and applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable communicating with engineers, scientists, technical leaders, and business decision-makers.
Ability to translate technical capabilities into clear customer value.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
Previous experience in technical sales, applications engineering, sales engineering, or a customer-facing engineering role is preferred.
Willingness to travel as required for customer meetings and industry events.
