What You'll Be Doing
The
Sales Development Representative (SDR) identifies, qualifies, and develops sales opportunities to support business growth. Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Marketing and working closely with the Growth Marketing Manager and Sales team, this position manages inbound inquiries, qualifies marketing-generated leads, conducts outbound prospecting, coordinates the transition of new customers, and schedules meetings for the sales organization. The Sales Development Representative serves as a key link between Marketing and Sales by ensuring prospective customers receive timely engagement and are effectively transitioned through the sales process while delivering exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities
Inbound Lead Management- Monitors and responds to inbound marketing and sales inquiries received through multiple channels, including web forms, telephone calls, email, and other approved communication platforms
- Responds to inbound inquiries within established service level expectations
- Evaluates, prioritizes, and qualifies inbound leads based on company profile, opportunity potential, service needs, geographic coverage, strategic verticals, and sales readiness
- Determines the appropriate disposition of inbound leads, including advancement, nurturing, or disqualification based on established business criteria
- Prioritizes leads based on established qualification criteria and business objectives
- Routes qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales representative based on territory, account size, industry, or strategic priorities
- Documents customer interactions, lead activity, and opportunity details accurately within Salesforce
Marketing Qualified Lead (MQL) Follow-Up- Contacts Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) generated through digital marketing campaigns, events, webinars, referrals, and other marketing initiatives
- Conducts discovery conversations to understand customer needs, business challenges, project timelines, and decision-making processes
- Evaluates sales readiness and converts qualified prospects into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs)
- Identifies trends in customer engagement and lead quality and provides recommendations to improve qualification effectiveness
- Schedules introductory meetings and discovery calls for the appropriate sales representatives
- Maintains timely follow-up to maximize lead conversion and customer engagement
Customer Transition and Onboarding Support- Serves as an initial point of contact for customers beginning the sales engagement process
- Coordinates the transition of new customers by facilitating required documentation, account setup, and communication with internal departments
