Safety Manager - Commercial Construction

The Safety Manager will report to senior operations leadership and work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure safe and successful project delivery.

  • Lead and enforce company safety programmes across multiple active commercial construction projects
  • Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, company standards, and client-specific safety requirements
  • Deliver safety orientation programmes, toolbox talks, training sessions, and ongoing workforce education
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries, developing corrective and preventative action plans
  • Partner with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel to promote a proactive safety culture
  • Track, analyse, and report safety performance metrics while implementing continuous improvement initiatives

For the Safety Manager - Commercial Construction we are seeking:

  • 5+ years of construction safety experience within commercial construction
  • Experience supporting ground-up construction projects from mobilisation through completion
  • Strong knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations and industry best practices
  • Demonstrated experience conducting safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with both field operations and office-based teams
  • Experience developing, implementing, and delivering safety training programmes
  • Familiarity with construction management software and safety reporting systems
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration 30 certification required
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration 500, Construction Health and Safety Technician, Certified Safety Professional, or other advanced safety certifications preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to influence safety performance and drive accountability across multiple project teams
