Dallas, TX, United States/ hybrid role that requires working onsite 3 days per week. The first full week on the project will also require working onsite Monday-Friday. Candidates must be located in Dallas, TX area.

We are seeking an IBM APIC Platform Operations Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance enterprise API and integration platforms. This role focuses on delivering secure, highly available, and resilient API solutions while providing operational support for complex integrations across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and support enterprise API solutions using IBM API Connect (APIC) and IBM DataPower Gateway.
Create, secure, publish, and manage REST and SOAP APIs, ensuring compliance with API governance and lifecycle standards.
Develop and maintain integration services using GatewayScript, XSLT, XPath, and related transformation technologies.
Troubleshoot and resolve API, middleware, networking, and integration issues while supporting production environments and root cause analysis.
Support containerized APIC and DataPower deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps automation within OpenShift, Kubernetes, and related platforms.
Qualifications
Hands-on experience with IBM API Connect (APIC) and IBM DataPower Gateway administration and support.
Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, XSLT, XPath, GatewayScript, and enterprise integration patterns.
Experience implementing API security controls including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, mTLS, and certificate-based authentication.
Familiarity with OpenShift, Kubernetes, containerized deployments, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
Understanding of high-availability architectures, resilient system design, microservices, event-driven solutions, and enterprise messaging technologies such as IBM MQ.
