We're looking for builders who want to shape the next generation of intelligent factories.The Role We're looking for a hands‑on Product Operations Engineer to bridge the gap between product, engineering, and field operations. You'll play a key role in deploying our vision systems on factory floors, integrating robotics and automation hardware, and closing the loop between customers and our R&D teams. This is a high‑impact, highly visible position reporting to the Senior Director of Customer Success.What You'll DoLead and support system installations at customer sites, both onsite and remotelyIntegrate and calibrate vision systems with robotic arms, XY gantries, conveyors, and PLCsBuild and troubleshoot custom automation workflows to solve complex AI inspection problemsPartner with R&D on system design reviews, product validation, and continuous improvementCollaborate with customers to translate operational challenges into actionable solutionsDocument best practices, perform root cause analysis, and help scale global deploymentsTravel up to 40%, including 20–30% overnight at customer manufacturing sitesWho You AreBachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)2+ years of hands‑on experience in industrial automation, robotics, or factory integrationStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsExperience with PLC integration and industrial control systemsPython scripting for automation, data collection, or configurationFamiliarity with CAD tools (intermediate level preferred)Excellent customer‑facing communication and collaboration skillsIndependent, proactive problem‑solver who thrives in fast‑paced environmentsMeticulous attention to detail and comfort working in production settingsWhy UnitXOpportunity to work at the intersection of AI, robotics, and manufacturingHigh visibility role with direct impact on product success and customer outcomesStartup ownership mindset.
