    Job Description

    Join AECOM's Transportation team in Atlanta and play a key leadership role in delivering complex transportation programs across Georgia. As a Roadway Program Manager, you will provide strategic oversight of roadway programs and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring successful delivery of client objectives, operational excellence, and long-term program performance. This position offers a hybrid work option.

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Providing overall program leadership and oversight for roadway design contracts and transportation programs.
    • Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering trusted relationships and supporting long-term business objectives.
    • Managing program-level scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and performance across multiple concurrent projects.
    • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and resources to ensure consistent, efficient, and successful project delivery.
    • Monitoring program performance metrics and implementing strategies to improve delivery, quality, and client satisfaction.
    • Leading project managers and technical leads in the execution of roadway, drainage, traffic, right-of-way, utility coordination, and construction support services.
    • Supporting business development efforts, including capture planning, proposal development, contract negotiations, and client engagement.
    • Identifying and mitigating program risks while proactively managing change and stakeholder expectations.
    • Driving implementation of quality management processes and continuous improvement initiatives across the program.
    • Mentoring project managers and technical staff to support leadership development, succession planning, and workforce growth.
    • Collaborating with regional and national leadership to align program execution with strategic business goals.

    Minimum :

    • Bachelor''s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related discipline and 8 years of related experience, including roadway project delivery and leadership responsibilities, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
    • Georgia PE License.

    Preferred:

    • Fifteen years of experience managing transportation programs and roadway design projects.
    • Experience serving as Program Manager or Deputy Program Manager on GDOT contracts.
    • Experience working on GDOT Alternative Delivery Projects
    • Experience managing on-call contracts, task order programs, or large transportation design programs.
    • Strong understanding of GDOT policies, procedures, and plan development processes.
    • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing client relationships.
    • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
    • Relocation is not an option for this position
