Were currently seeking Registered Nurses to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas; The #1 one city in the nation for Nursing opportunities and advancement! Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.

Why Medical Telemetry?

Our Medical Telemetry Unit is a 38-bed unit focused on providing a high level of direct and individualized care. This unit affords you with ample learning opportunities with a full spectrum of medical diagnoses and comorbidities. Our Medical Telemetry unit also offers:

· Resident Physician designated Teaching Unit

· ED door to door admissions

· Highly engaged team

· Supportive management team

· Robust Unit Based Council

· Flexible scheduling

· Emphasis on work/life balance

We have a varied medical/telemetry population including:

· Sepsis

· Chest Pain

· Patients requiring isolation or admission to negative airflow rooms

· Patients requiring skin and wound care- DHFT, PEGs, Wound Vacs

· Diagnostic procedures including thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio-cath, pacemaker insertions and chest tubes.

· Nasogastric Insertion and Maintenance

· Enteral Feeding Tube Insertion and Maintenance

· Patients requiring cardiac monitoring due to chest pain or arrhythmias

· Patients with GI abnormalities

· Trach care, CBI, IV Therapy

Shift: 7am to 7pm , 36hrs/week

Qualifications

Grad of an Accredited Program

Specialized field of study should be nursing.

A current and valid nursing license.

Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
