RN - MedSurg/Tele - Contract

o Basic Med/Tele skillset: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating Cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, PIV starts, Central line management, etc. Floating Requirement: Must be willing to float within Region 3, including Cleveland, Kings Mountain, Lincoln, and Central Division facilities (CMC Main, Mercy, LCH).

Schedule & Assignment Details

• Shift: 12-hour Night Shift (36 hours/week)
• Shift Hours: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
• Clinical Interview: Yes Final interview conducted by the hiring manager
• On-Call/Call Back: Possible low census call. Travelers may be called back up to 3:00 AM for night shifts and up to 3:00 PM for day shifts.
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend (EOW)
• Holiday Requirement: Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays.
• Floating Requirement: Must be willing to float within Region 3, including Cleveland, Kings Mountain, Lincoln, and Central Division facilities (CMC Main, Mercy, LCH).

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o Stroke, Respiratory Illnesses: Flu/Pneumonia/COVID, Renal Failure, Peritoneal Dialysis, Wounds, etc.

Patient Ratios:
o RN: 1:5-6; surge staffing could have ratios of 1:7-8
o LPN (if applicable): 1:5-6; surge staffing could have ratios of 1:7-8
o CNA: 1:10

Required Licensure & Certifications:
o RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Skills required:

o CNA - ADLs, mobility, feeding

Virtual RNs can act as 2nd RN Witness for certain meds, can closely monitor patients requiring special monitoring, can assist with Admission/Discharge items, etc.
Floating:
o Within region and scope of practice
o Will be required to float per region needs will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice DECLINE if not agreeable
Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main Mercy LCH)
If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)

o Call: Possibility of low census call. Can be called back up to 3a for Nights and up to 3p for Days
o Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays Yes
o RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
o Shift times: 0630-1900 and 1830-0700
o Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
