RN - Med Surg

Job Summary:

Henry Ford Jackson Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Medical/Surgical team. The ideal candidate will have strong Med-Surg experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment. Candidates should be flexible, adaptable, and willing to float to units of equal or lower acuity as needed to support patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a Medical/Surgical setting.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
• Monitor patient conditions, document findings accurately, and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection prevention protocols.
• Float to units of equal or lower acuity, including the lockdown unit, as required.
