A Day in the Role

You’ll arrive on the production floor and step into the flow between design and build. In a typical week, you’ll translate concepts into clear, repeatable assembly instructions for RF filters and their subassemblies, collaborate with RF and electrical engineers to ensure electromechanical harmony, and refine tooling and fixtures so technicians can execute with confidence. You’ll shift from CAD modeling to prototype support, from root-cause analysis on test anomalies to documenting BOMs and engineering changes—always with production readiness in mind.

What You’ll Own

  • Create and maintain standard work, traveler content, and assembly instructions for RF filters and integrated RF subassemblies.
  • Drive new product introduction activities and guide smooth transitions from prototype to full-rate manufacturing.
  • Design and improve tooling, jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing processes.
  • Support prototype builds, participate in design reviews, perform product testing, and lead/assist root-cause and corrective actions.
  • Produce and control manufacturing drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and engineering change documentation.
  • Design mechanical housings and hardware for RF filters and integrated RF assemblies.
  • Integrate circuit card assemblies, connectors, and RF components into precision-machined mechanical housings.
  • Partner closely with RF and electrical engineering to ensure mechanical and electrical designs align functionally and physically.
  • Support qualification and environmental testing protocols.
  • Use SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD for 3D modeling, detailed drawings, and tolerance analysis.
  • Contribute to material selection, process improvements, and production readiness activities.
  • Apply design-for-manufacturability to elevate quality, efficiency, and throughput.
  • Adhere to all applicable safety and quality standards.
