Restaurant Manager Position Summary The Manager is the operational, cultural, and brand leader of our upscale sports bar. This role requires an experienced hospitality professional with a minimum of 6+ years of Manager experience, a deep and genuine knowledge of global and domestic sports, and a strong presence within the local community. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable running a high-volume, polished operation and stepping out into the community to build relationships, drive events, and create a destination for sports fans, clubs, and organizations. This is a highly visible role requiring leadership, charisma, strategic thinking, and a passion for hospitality and sports culture. Key Responsibilities Operations & Leadership - Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring excellence in service, food quality, cleanliness, and guest experience
- Lead, mentor, and develop management and hourly teams to uphold high performance and accountability
- Create a culture of professionalism, energy, and hospitality aligned with an upscale sports bar environment
- Maintain strong floor presence during peak business hours, major sporting events, and special activations
Community Engagement & Event Development - Actively cultivate relationships within the local community, including clubs, leagues, associations, and fan groups
- Leverage existing connections—and build new ones—to bring in watch parties, private events, sponsor nights, and group reservations
- Be visible, approachable, and proactive in meeting new people and expanding the restaurant’s footprint within the sports scene
- Partner with marketing and ownership to create recurring events that drive consistent traffic and brand loyalty
Financial & Business Management - Manage budgets, forecasting, labor costs, and controllable expenses to meet or exceed financial goals
- Analyze sales trends and event performance to optimize revenue opportunities
- Oversee inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships
- Drive profitability without sacrificing guest experience or brand standards
Guest Relations - Personally engage with guests, VIPs, and regulars to foster loyalty and repeat business
- Resolve guest concerns with professionalism, urgency, and hospitality
- Set the tone for an elevated yet energetic atmosphere that appeals to both casual fans and serious sports enthusiasts
Qualifications - 6+ years of experience as a Manager in an upscale, high-volume restaurant
- Extensive, working knowledge of multiple sports and leagues, with the ability to speak confidently and authentically with guests and partners
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships within a local community
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Financial acumen with experience managing P&L responsibilities
- Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working nights, weekends, and major sporting events
