Base Salary: $125,000 - $135,000 / year based on experience + Quarterly Bonus Potential

Clyde’s of Georgetown, open since 1963 and one of the most iconic concepts in Clyde's Restaurant Group's portfolio, is looking for its next General Manager. Nestled in the heart of Georgetown, this restaurant demands a seasoned operator with $10M+ volume experience, and the instincts to deliver an elevated guest experience every shift.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A GENERAL MANAGER

  • Hardworking, attentive, and hospitality-driven with a desire to excel and maintain the highest level of service
  • 3+ years' experience as a General Manager in a large high-volume restaurant (annual sales of $10M+)
  • Proven ability to uphold high standards and deliver elevated guest service shift after shift
  • Strong financial acumen — P&L ownership, forecasting, scheduling, labor management, and cost control
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Provides guests with exceptional service and value
  • Disciplined and firm about standards of performance, yet fair and personable in developing employees

WHAT YOU WILL DO AS A GENERAL MANAGER

  • Set the engaging hospitality tone and energy that defines one of DC's busiest dining and bar destinations
  • Set and maintain guest service standards
  • Lead a FOH operation across lunch, dinner, brunch, and late night
  • Interview, hire, train, schedule, and develop front of the house (FOH) managers and employees
  • Work the floor hands-on — greet guests, process checks, and investigate and resolve customer complaints in real time
  • Interact with guests in a genuine and friendly manner to establish a personal, professional rapport with regulars and first-time visitors alike
  • Develop and manage the annual financial plan for the restaurant — sales, labor, cost of goods, controllables, and operating income
  • Complete performance reviews and assign developmental goals for dining room managers and employees based on observed performance
  • Lead daily menu class and ensure the team is fluent in every dish, ingredient, and beverage
  • Direct employees in safety, health, and sanitation standards
  • Lead monthly inventory in close partnership with the culinary team
  • Set service goals and hold the team accountable, supported by clear agendas and follow-through in manager and departmental meetings
  • Partner closely with the Executive Chef on menu planning, cost control, and seamless FOH/BOH execution
