That means our team works alongside local leaders and decision-makers who are invested in the restaurant, the guest experience, and the people who make it all happen.Located on our hospitality campus in Amherst, Jazzboline is a robust food and beverage operation featuring à la carte dining, a full-service bar, Sunday Jazz Brunch, and private events and celebrations in the Jazzboline Ballroom.We're looking for a Restaurant and Bar Supervisor who enjoys being in the middle of the action-supporting the team, connecting with guests, maintaining standards, and helping each shift run smoothly from beginning to end.Why This Role?This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands that exceptional hospitality starts with an engaged and supported team.As Restaurant and Bar Supervisor, you'll be visible on the floor throughout service, helping restaurant and bar employees, responding to guest needs, coordinating with the culinary team, and stepping in wherever needed to keep operations moving.You'll help create an environment where expectations are clear, employees feel supported, and guests receive the warm, attentive service that defines Jazzboline.What You'll DoYou'll help supervise the day-to-day shift operations of Jazzboline Restaurant & Bar while supporting an exceptional experience for both our guests and our team.Your responsibilities will include:Supervise restaurant and bar operations during assigned shifts, maintaining service, quality, and hospitality standardsLead, support, coach, and develop front-of-house employeesAssist with training, scheduling, employee development, and performance managementCommunicate with culinary leadership and kitchen staff to ensure smooth, coordinated serviceBe present and engaged on the restaurant floor, supporting the team during busy service periodsRespond to guest questions, concerns, comments, and service issues in a professional and timely mannerHelp maintain an atmosphere of genuine hospitality, teamwork, accountability, and professionalismMonitor shift revenues and assist with restaurant reporting and administrative responsibilitiesSupport restaurant systems and point-of-sale operationsEnsure restaurant, bar, service areas, and equipment are maintained according to cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standardsIdentify opportunities to improve restaurant procedures, service, and overall operationsAssist restaurant leadership with special projects and additional operational needs as assignedWhat We're Looking ForExceptional Service. Engaged Leadership.We're looking for someone who enjoys leading from the floor and understands how much a supervisor can influence both the employee and guest experience.The ideal candidate brings:1 to 2 years of related restaurant, bar, hospitality, or supervisory experienceA working knowledge of restaurant and food & beverage operationsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to coach, guide, and provide direction to employeesA guest-focused mindset with the ability to resolve concerns professionallyStrong organization and problem-solving skillsThe ability to remain composed and engaged in a fast-paced restaurant environmentA commitment to cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and quality serviceThe ability to work collaboratively with both front-of-house and culinary teamsPost-high school education in hospitality, food & beverage, business, or a related field is preferred.Schedule & Physical RequirementsHospitality happens when our guests are here, so this position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event days based on restaurant and business needs.This is an active, hands-on role requiring significant time on the restaurant floor. The Restaurant and Bar Supervisor must be comfortable with prolonged standing and walking, bending and kneeling as needed, and regularly lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying approximately 20 to 40 lbs.Compensation & BenefitsCompensation: $25.00 - $27.00 per hourFinal compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and relevant restaurant and hospitality leadership experience.We believe taking care of our guests starts with taking care of our team.
