The Health & Wellness Coordinator is an integral member of the leadership team at YES USA, a provider of immersive English language programs for international teenagers across the United States. Our residential summer camps combine language learning, cultural exchange, and structured activities to create a dynamic and supportive environment for students from around the world.

This is a seasonal, full -time residential <\/b>position. Beyond medical responsibilities, this role is deeply integrated into camp operations and requires flexibility, strong teamwork, and a proactive approach to problem -solving across departments.

Essential Functions<\/b><\/span>
<\/h2>
Medical Care & Camper Well -being<\/b><\/span>
<\/h3>- Provide basic medical care to campers and staff
<\/li> - Remain on -call for emergencies and respond promptly to incidents across camp
<\/li> - Assess injuries/illnesses and determine need for external care (urgent care, ER, etc.); accompany campers when necessary
<\/li> - Communicate with parents/guardians regarding medical concerns and treatments as needed
<\/li><\/ul><\/div>
Health Systems Administration & Tracking<\/b><\/span>
<\/h3>- Review camper and staff medical forms prior to arrival
<\/li> - Maintain accurate and timely medical records, especially camper allergies
<\/li> - Oversee and manage first aid supplies across camp (including kits for staff, activities, and off -site trips)
<\/li> - Conduct regular inventory checks and restock supplies as needed
<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/div>
Leadership & Camp Integration<\/b><\/span>
<\/h3>- Work closely with the Camp Director and leadership team to support a safe and healthy camp environment
<\/span><\/li> - Participate in daily camp operations, meetings, and planning
<\/li> - Attend and support evening programs and special events as needed
<\/li><\/ul><\/div>
Operational Support & Flexibility<\/b><\/span>
<\/h3>- Collaborate with management on broader camp operations and logistics
<\/li> - During lower -demand medical periods, actively support other departments as needed (e.g., supervision, activities, arrivals/departures, administrative support)
<\/li> - Step in to assist or temporarily cover roles across camp to ensure smooth daily operations
<\/li> - Maintain a team -first mindset, contributing wherever needed to support the overall camp experience

Qualifications<\/b><\/span>
<\/h2>- Must meet New Jersey Department of Health requirements for residential camp health staff, including one of the following:<\/span>
<\/li>- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), licensed by the New Jersey Board of Nursing
<\/li> - Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), paramedic, first responder, or advanced first aid provider with certification from an approved agency
<\/li> - Certified Athletic Trainer with a valid credential from the Board of Certification (BOC)
<\/li><\/ul> - Experience working with children or teens strongly preferred
<\/li> - Experience working with international clients strongly preferred<\/span>
<\/li> - Strong organizational, communication, and problem -solving skills
<\/li> - Ability to remain calm and professional in high -pressure situations
<\/li> - Flexibility, teamwork, and willingness to take on a dynamic, multi -functional role within camp operations
<\/li> - Legal authorization to work in the United States

Schedule<\/b><\/span>
<\/h2>- This residential role requires flexibility as your schedule will shift with the demands of camp.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li> - You will be assigned one day off per week. This day off may vary week by week depending on camp demands.<\/span><\/span>
