A Day in the Life
Start your morning in Rocky Mount, NC with a route of in-home appointments. You’ll step into kitchens and laundry rooms to diagnose why a refrigerator isn’t cooling, a washer is off-balance, a dryer won’t heat, or an oven won’t reach temp. You’ll walk customers through what you find, outline repair options and costs, and then complete precise, safe repairs. Throughout the day, you’ll document the work and parts used, keep your tool kit and replacement stock organized, and make sure every job meets safety standards and regulations. As you grow, you’ll lend a hand mentoring junior techs while keeping your own skills current with the latest appliance technologies and repair techniques.

What You’ll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in appliance repair is a plus.
- Proven experience as an appliance repair technician or similar role.
- Excellent troubleshooting ability and strong attention to detail.
- Clear communication and customer service skills.
- Self-directed with solid time management.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Capability to lift heavy appliances and perform manual tasks.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in appliance repair.
Field-Based Work
This is a field role: the work happens at customer and job sites rather than at a single worksite, and you will be based within driving distance of the job location. Expect day trips to job sites, with most nights at home.
