Research Manager II-Urology-Full Time

Under the direction of the Department Administrator and Chairman and in collaboration with Division Chiefs and Principle Investigators, the ResearchManager plans and coordinates the Department’s Research function and resources to include all personnel, protocols, logistics and clinical researchpractice. Ensure research trials are conducted within UFHSC IRB and comply with all Federal, State, and Local regulations and guidelines with respectto research proceedings.

Overview:

JOB DUTIES:

Under the direction of the Department Administrator and Chairman and in collaboration with Division Chiefs and Principle Investigators, the ResearchManager plans and coordinates the Department’s Research function and resources to include all personnel, protocols, logistics and clinical researchpractice. Assists in planned growth of Research function and recruitment of study participants.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

 

Organize the research activities of the Department and establish Research Office for the Department to manage all Research operations.

 

Develop and maintain of a system of organized and easily retrievable regulatory and organizational documentation for all studies.

 

Ensure research trials are conducted within UFHSC IRB and comply with all Federal, State, and Local regulations and guidelines with respectto research proceedings. Oversee all regulatory requirements of research projects.

 

Identify and Procure vendor studies. Coordinate proposal development, budgeting, submissions, approvals and closeout through IRB andstudy sponsors. Organize study start-up and regulatory document collection.

 

Evaluate, Develop and conduct training/education programs.

Qualifications:

Experience Requirements:

 

3 -5 years Management experience required

3- 5 years Progressive research experience required 

 

Education Requirements:

 

Bachelor's Degree - Public Health Science, Management or related field Required

Master's - preferred 

 

Travel:

 

Up to 10%
