Overview
The Research Assistant II assists the PI with scientific studies to elucidate the cellular mechanisms of neural network dysfunction in genetic models ofneurodevelopmental disorders. The Research Assistant is able to read and understand scientific literature, carry out experiments, work collaboratively, plan experiments, analyze data, draft the manuscript and make presentations to others about the work.

QUALIFICATIONS:• Experience in MATLAB, R and Phyton is preferred.• Training in animal surgical techniques, EEG placement and post-operative care is preferredEDUCATION:• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a science related field such as biology, neuroscience, psychology, biomedical engineering, computer science, or physics.EXPERIENCE:• Previous laboratory training and experience in any field of science is required.• Two years' experience with tissue culture, molecular biology, is preferred.
