The Department of Medicine is seeking an experienced Research Administrator to join its collaborative research administration team supporting a diverse and growing portfolio of sponsored research. In this role, the incumbent will support faculty throughout the full lifecycle of their research awards, from proposal development and submission through award setup, post-award administration, and closeout, helping advance innovative, investigator-led research.
The position provides an opportunity to manage a variety of moderately complex research proposals, including single-investigator NIH submissions, while reviewing and analyzing key financial components such as budgets, effort commitments, salaries, and project expenditures. The incumbent will work closely with faculty and research administration colleagues in a collaborative support model, partnering with a Senior Research Administrator to provide coordinated expertise and effective portfolio management for assigned Principal Investigators.
The ideal candidate uses skills as a seasoned, experienced research administrator to independently develop and / or oversee research proposals, awards, and / or transactions related to contract and grant management and maintains contract and grant records in compliance with institutional research sponsor policies. The senior fund manager works on proposals and awards of diverse scope where analysis of data requires thorough understanding of complex regulations.
