Description

Title: Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist (PBM)

Pay rate: $53 an hr

Position Type: Contract to hire

Start date: 11/09/26
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM (candidate’s local time zone) + occasional weekends
Training: 5 weeks, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CT (starts 11/09/2026)
Location: 100% Remote / Work-from-Home (U.S.)

Position Summary

We’re hiring Remote Pharmacists to review and process prior authorization requests in accordance with established policies and procedures. This is a non–patient-facing role in a high-volume, production-based environment requiring strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and comfort working in a secure remote setting.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Review clinical documentation and apply prior authorization criteria per policy/procedure
Document decisions accurately and consistently in the system
Communicate clearly and professionally while working within productivity/quality expectations
Maintain strict confidentiality and follow teleworker privacy/security requirements

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Active Pharmacist license in good standing in your state of residence (include license state + expiration/active dates on resume)
PharmD or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy
2+ years of pharmacist experience (PBM / prior authorization experience strongly preferred)
Basic computer proficiency, strong organizational skills, and detail orientation
High School Diploma/GED (verifiable)

Remote / Technology Requirements (must be acknowledged)

Reliable high-speed internet: minimum 25 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload
Must provide internet speed test results from speedtest.net (include screenshot + provider + download/upload speeds on resume)
Smartphone required (VPN token/app will be used)
Private, secure workspace where calls/screens/documents cannot be seen/heard by others
Ability to follow strict security practices (lock screen when away, secure equipment, etc.)
Additional Notes

This is a safety-sensitive role.
Interview is required.
