General Summary
The purpose of this job is to work with the other cooks to serve varied and nutritious meals to the Juvenile Home residents and staff using federally standardized recipes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Daily preparation of nutritious and varied meals utilizing Federal Standardized Recipes. Follow daily cleaning schedule for assigned shift. Inventory all knives at the beginning and end of each shift. Properly operate and maintain kitchen and appliances. Provide direction to Day Treatment participants who are assigned to kitchen duty. Clear knowledge of and adherence to all facility policies and procedures. Ensure that all foods are prepared served and stored at proper temperatures. Perform related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED equivalent At least 2 years of related work experience working in a moderate size kitchen Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
