General Summary
The Relationship Manager is responsible for retaining, originating, underwriting, coordinating the close of and servicing of Commercial Real Estate, Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Loans. Perform all duties in accordance with the companys policies and procedures, all state and federal laws and regulations.

Manage the Relationship: Exempt (30%) Manage all aspects of established and/or assigned clients relationships and their respective portfolios. Develop new client relationships in conjunction with specified goals. Call on existing or prospective customers to solicit new business and effectively cross-sell all bank products and services, including the procurement of deposit accounts. Prescreen loan opportunities, structuring deals in a manner that achieves division profitability goals within the established risk parameters. Able to direct, influence, and build camaraderie with the Credit Analyst and Loan Support Teams. Conduct presentations and/or training as part of the sales effort.
Manage the Experience: Exempt (20%) Demonstrate brand behaviors through daily interactions with management, colleagues, and internal and external customers. Demonstrate highly developed leadership and communication skills, both written and oral. Represent the company in various civic and community functions to further enhance its image and develop additional business while cultivating internal and external referral sources and Centers of Influence. Manage the Business: Exempt (35%) Effectively underwrite loans for approval, including the following:
Spread and analyze personal and business financial statements and tax returns using Excel and/or FISCAL or similar program and have an understanding of cash flow reports, financial ratios, trends, etc. Prepare credit memos for new facilities as well as for renewals, modifications, and extensions. This includes borrowers summary and background, financial risks analysis, purpose of loan, repayment sources, collateral evaluation and analysis, financial and reporting covenants, etc. The credit memos will include the analysis of both a variety of commercial real estate properties including but not limited to multifamily, commercial, mixed-use, industrial, and SFR properties as well as C&I transactions including but not limited to working capital, inventory, A/R, and term revolving credit facilities for an array of various industries. Manage loans through closing and funding stage, provide post-close servicing and portfolio credit quality, including the preparation of Quality Loan Reviews. Documents calls and results, and makes reports to management as required. Executes direct mail campaigns and cold call programs to identify qualified prospects. Completes other tasks and duties assigned to meet the needs of the business.
Manage/Mitigate the Risk: Exempt (15%) Keep informed of new marketing/sale techniques and the products and services offered by competitors. Maintains current and proficient knowledge of all bank products and assists other bank officers to promote bank products and services. Attend conferences, educational sales and marketing events provided by industry participants. Complete all bank mandated training.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be an extrovert who enjoys the company of others and working in teams or also able to work independently. Demonstrates strong financial modeling skills and understanding of financial statements. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent project management and teamwork abilities. Strong quantitative abilities, computer proficiency (including Excel, Word, Outlook, and World Wide Web resources), excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong time management abilities, attention to detail, and flexibility. Effective and responsive telephone etiquette.
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree with an emphasis in business, or equivalent professional work experience. Must have 7 years of business banking or related experience and 3 years of financial sales and business development experience is a plus. Ability to prepare financial analysis and highlight key indicators integral part of the job.
