The ideal candidate will handle complex client relationships with our top-tier advisors as you actively pursue opportunities to improve their level of efficiency and profitability, focusing on growth and retention. As a Relationship Manager, you will effectively coordinate with Service to proactively anticipate client needs and resolve situations as they occur and work closely with other business partners across the organization to support the education and adoption of Wealth Management Services. You will influence positive change in their organizations to support their evolving needs, as well as present policy changes, negotiate pricing, conduct business reviews, and organize client events. As the main point of contact for your assigned clients, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining meaningful relationships, positively representing Schwab’s brand and values.

The opportunity offers fully remote work with 50% or greater travel within the territory. Candidate must reside within the Greater San Francisco Bay area.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities

Salary Range: $106,500.00-$146,500.00

What you have

Required Qualifications

• Active FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses, required to perform the role.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience demonstrating the skills required for this role.

• 5–7 years of financial services experience demonstrating results driven relationship management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exceptional ability to build and sustain complex client relationships through a consultative relationship management approach, stakeholder influence, and sound business judgment.

• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, including the ability to lead structured conversations and business reviews with senior audiences, navigating difficult discussions, resolving conflict, and adapting in real time to client needs.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to understand advisor needs, navigate complex challenges, and deliver positive business outcomes.

• Experience applying knowledge of the RIA / Wealth Management landscape (operations, advisor technology, practice management, compliance, fee models) to client recommendations.

• Track record of driving growth, retention, and adoption of outcomes through consultative selling and long-term  relationship building.

• Proven ability to build strong partnerships across teams, manage escalations, and drive timely resolution while maintaining a consistent client experience.
