    Job Summary:

    The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages in an acute care setting. This role is responsible for administering routine and advanced respiratory therapies, managing ventilator support, and ensuring accurate documentation and patient monitoring. The RRT functions independently when needed and supports high-quality, patient-centered care delivery.

    Responsibilities:
    • Perform all respiratory care procedures under general supervision
    • Set up and administer routine and complex respiratory therapy treatments
    • Operate and manage acute care ventilators for short- and long-term mechanical ventilation
    • Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as appropriate
    • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in hospital systems
    • Work independently in the absence of leadership while ensuring continuity of care
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes
    Requirements:
    • Minimum 1+ year of recent (within the last year or current) acute care RRT experience required
    • CRT experience will be considered
    • Active NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
    • State Respiratory Therapist license required
    • Associate Degree or completion of a Respiratory Therapy program required
    • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
    • ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire
    • PALS certification required within 90 days of hire
    • NRP certification required within 90 days of hire
    Schedule:
    • Days (rotating weekends)
    • Nights (rotating weekends)
    Setting:
    • Acute care hospital system
    • Includes multiple hospitals and freestanding ERs
    • Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
    • Offers advanced services including cardiac, surgical, neurological, and rehabilitation care
