Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse – Telemetry serves as a leader in delivering patient-centered care using the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Ethics, and professional standards. This role is responsible for delegating, directing, and assisting team members to ensure high-quality patient outcomes while promoting cultural sensitivity, regulatory compliance, and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Effectively apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Educate patients and families using individualized teaching strategies.
Lead and manage team resources (human and fiscal), acting as a key member of the interdisciplinary care team.
Evaluate data to drive continuous improvement and enhance patient outcomes.
Support initiatives to improve employee morale and patient satisfaction.
Adapt communication and care to meet diverse cultural, developmental, and privacy needs.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards.
Report compliance, safety, or ethical concerns promptly and appropriately.
Perform other related duties as required and adapt to evolving healthcare demands.
Required Experience:
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Prior work in telemetry, step-down, or acute care units.
Familiarity with regulatory reporting and interdisciplinary team communication.

Awareness of bloodborne pathogen precautions and exposure risk
Education:
Certifications:
Active RN license in Louisiana (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (required)
Certification in clinical specialty area (preferred)
