Registered Nurse (RN) – Pre/Post-Op & Endoscopy

If RN nursing license has been inactive, retired, or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. This fast-paced environment focuses on efficient, same-day care, with approximately 15–20 patients seen daily across the department.

This is a dynamic, multi-specialty nursing position supporting both surgical and endoscopy services. The RN will provide care across pre-operative and post-operative settings, with the opportunity to cross-train in endoscopy and infusion. This fast-paced environment focuses on efficient, same-day care, with approximately 15–20 patients seen daily across the department. Nurses work collaboratively as a team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative experience.

Location Details

• Location: 25 Hospital Center Blvd Hilton Head, South Carolina 29926 
• Schedule: Full Time 
• Shift: 4 x 10-hour shifts, 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM. No scheduled weekends or holidays. Endoscopy call rotation approximately once per month or less, including occasional weekend overnight coverage. 

What We're Looking For:

• Education:

   

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree preferred
  • If RN nursing license has been inactive, retired, or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license
  • In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course

   

  Experience:

  • One year relevant experience preferred
  • Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096

   

  Licensure/Certification:

  • Current RN licensure in appropriate state required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.

• Assess and prioritize patients across a wide range of conditions, injuries, and acuity levels
• Respond quickly to changing patient needs using critical thinking, clinical judgment, and evidence-based practice
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions in a fast-paced environment
• Educate, support, and advocate for patients and families throughout their emergency care experience
