Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med | Surg
Location: Slidell, LA 70458
Duration: 3 Months (Possible Extension)
Shift: 3 x 12-Hour Night Shifts
Department : Med Surg Unit
Note: Candidate must reside 65 miles from the facility

Requirements:

• Active LA state RN License or Multi-State Compact RN License
• Current BLS certificate.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg experience is required.
• Strong Medical Surgical clinical background.

Job Description:

• Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to Medical Surgical patients.
• Perform comprehensive initial and ongoing patient assessments, including system reviews and documentation.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs.
• Deliver age-appropriate care by applying knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan.
• Accurately assess patient conditions, interpret clinical findings, and determine appropriate nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation.
• Adhere to all facility policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
