Registered Nurse (PICU)

Summary:

• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Shift: 12H Rotating Days/Nights or 12H Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday, days or nights)
• On Call Requirement: None

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care.
• Educate patients' families on care plans and health maintenance.

Requirements:

• Education: BSN
• Licensure/Certification: Colorado RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a comparable PICU as staff RN
• Experience caring for patients from birth to 21 years with various diagnoses
• Equipment Proficiency: Trilogy & Drager ventilators, Codman ICP monitors, Medfusion syringe pumps, Baxter large volume IV pumps
• Certifications: BLS, PALS

Preferred Skills:

• Prefer 2 years staff experience
• 1 year travel experience in teaching facility PICU
• Preferred Certification: ACLS
• Eligible to float to all inpatient care areas (excluding ED, OR, or inpatient Psych)
