    Summary:

    The primary responsibility of the Associate Health (AH) Nurse position is to provide occupational health nursing, coordinate and complete annual health assessments and PPDs, maintain statistical data on Associate Health issues. The AH Nurse will provide services for candidates to the Catholic Health (CH), its associates and medical staff and integrate functions related to AH Services with, Infection Control, Safety, IDM and all hospital departments.

    Responsibilities:

    EDUCATION
    • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
    • BSN preferred
    • Current Licensure in New York State as a Registered Nurse
    • BLS Certification
    • Occupational Health and/or Case Management certification preferred

    EXPERIENCE

    • One (1) to three (3) years medical-surgical or occupational health experience required

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

    • PC skills and organizational skills required
    • Excel skills preferred
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, NYSDOH and JC regulations as they pertain to AH issues required
    • New York State Drivers License
    • HIV Counseling / Venipuncture

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • May require travel to other sites in the organization
    • General office environment
    • Potential exposure to infectious diseases
