We’re recruiting for an experienced Regional Operations Manager to lead and support a group of veterinary hospitals in the greater Chicago area.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who understands veterinary operations, enjoys developing people and knows how to balance great culture with strong business performance.

The Opportunity

You’ll work closely with hospital leaders and veterinary teams to help each practice perform at its best. You’ll have the autonomy to understand what each hospital needs, develop its leaders and create consistency while recognizing that every practice and team is a little different.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing operational leadership across multiple veterinary hospitals

• Coaching and developing Practice Managers and hospital leaders

• Building strong partnerships with DVMs and clinical teams

• Monitoring business performance and identifying opportunities for improvement

• Supporting staffing, retention, budgeting and operational planning

• Implementing processes and best practices across the region

• Helping teams work through challenges and remove roadblocks

• Creating accountability while maintaining a positive, supportive culture

• Supporting continued growth and new initiatives within the market

Who We’re Looking For

We’d love to meet an experienced multi-site veterinary operations leader, someone who is equally comfortable with both people and numbers. You understand the operational and financial side of veterinary medicine but also know that results come from building strong teams and trusted relationships.

You’re approachable, responsive and willing to roll up your sleeves when needed. You can coach and encourage people while also having the tougher conversations that come with leadership.

Experience with growing, opening or scaling veterinary hospitals is a plus.

Location

This role is based in the Chicago area and requires regular presence in the hospitals, along with some regional travel.

Competitive six-figure base salary + performance-based incentive
